Anthinoises & Castle of Trolls

In the company of elves, gnomes and corrigans, we spend our week-end in a small village called Anthisnes (province Liège) where the "Anthinoises" took place, a festival of Celtic Music and Culture. For the occasion the impressive and beautiful Castle of Avouerie was transformed into a "Castle of Trolls", a place dedicated to the Small People with games, expositions, tournaments, demonstrations and much more.

Among the guest: illustrators, writers, miniature sculptors & painters and game-designers.

Legend is still much alive in the French speaking part of Belgium... to the joy and excitement of the Nutons. These pictures will give you an idea of the atmosphere in the village.

The "Castel of Trolls" took place in the Castle of Avouerie, which includes a Beer and Pecket museum.

Hypocras was a most popular drink at parties and banquets in the Middle Ages.

The "Cuvée des Trolls" is a 100% natural blond beer with unquestionable character.

We became quite fascinated by the artworks of Luigi Intorcia.

See you there next year!
